BLUE POINT

Blue Point is a circular pavilion at the Galderse Meren that brings together hospitality, outdoor activities, and nature experience. The goal is to create a welcoming destination with minimal impact on the landscape while maximizing the quality of stay and connection to the environment.

The architectural philosophy is based on subtle integration, reversibility, and respect for the natural setting. The pavilion is composed of three elements: a raised timber platform, repurposed shipping containers clad in reclaimed wood, and a lightweight roof structure supported by slender steel columns.

The spatial experience is defined by openness, framed views toward the forest and lake, and a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor use. Through its modular and demountable construction, Blue Point can be dismantled, relocated, or fully reused, embodying a circular design strategy focused on adaptability and material reuse.
